Psychotechnical games

Short exercises for attention, concentration and letting a muscle go. Do them in a pause, to notice your own state. They are not a warm-up and not something to do during an attempt.

What they are and how to use them

  1. What this is

Exercises from psychotraining: one action, a quotation from the book, and a short run on screen. Not a test, not a diagnosis, and not a replacement for a session.

  2. Why an athlete

Before a start, attention drifts and the face and hands lock up. A game lets you catch that in yourself: keep a sequence in mind, compare two ways of concentrating, and notice a muscle letting go after a short tension.

  3. How to do it

Open a game and take the short example. The full run, with a record, stays in the cabinet under Techniques. The quotation is the method. The screen does not replace it.

  4. When to do it

In a pause, when the attempt is over and you have a minute. Not instead of a warm-up and not at the moment of the start. Skip Contrast if squeezing the fist hurts.
