Quote
“Champions keep playing until they get it right.”
— Billie Jean KingБилли Джин Кинг

A psychologist's note: why this works

King describes persistence as what sets a champion apart: at the top level talent evens out, and what decides things is the willingness not to stop after failed attempts.

It matters to tell healthy persistence from stubbornness: the first adjusts the method while keeping the goal. The athlete asks not "do I quit or grind on" but "what do I change in my approach so the next attempt is smarter".
