Psychological readiness

Psychological readiness is the state in which an athlete is able to produce their true level under competition conditions.

Definition

It is made up of optimal arousal, confidence, concentration, clear goals and the ability to handle distractions.

A ready athlete delivers their training level at the competition; an unready one falls apart at competitions specifically.
